Q. Do I need to open an account or pre-register?

A. No. All you need to do is either:

Text the word SIMPLY to 65656 to receive a £10 talk-credit
Text the word SIMPLY to 81616 to receive a £5 talk-credit

Alternatively, dial 037 0041 4404 and Press 3 to receive £10 credit to make International calls, or Press 1 to receive £5 credit to make International calls.

Q. I have my £5 credit. How do I dial an International number?

A. Dial the access number 037 0041 4404 received in the confirmation text message. At the prompt, please dial your International number followed by # (e.g. 001xxxxxxx #) Please do not press 'call' or 'send' after the International number. WAIT TO BE CONNECTED.

Q. How much will a call cost to the 037 0041 4404 access number?

A. Cost of calls to the 037 0041 4404 number can be used as part of your mobile or landline inclusive minute package or will be charged at your standard mobile/landline rate to a UK landline.

Q. Why do I need to press the # button?

A. Dialling # after the International number lets our system know that you have finished dialing and will increase the speed of connection. If you forget to press # you will still be connected. Please do not press 'call' or 'send' (or the dial button on your keypad) after your International number.

Q. Are the call rates the same at any time of the day?

A. Yes, our low International call rates are the same at any time, 24/7.

Q. Is there a daily charge, expiry date or connection fee?

A. There are no daily charges or expiry dates on SimplyText2Talk. There is a one-off connection fee of 0.5p to 20p, depending on destination. We may remove your calling credit if there are no calls or top-ups made in a six consecutive month period.

Q. Can I use my SimplyText2Talk International calling credit from a landline or another mobile phone?

A. Yes. Since February 2009 all new users receive their PIN automatically by SMS after their first top-up. Please note that it is your responsibility to keep this pin safe.

Q. Can I deactivate my pin?

A. Yes. Please call our support line on 020 8497 8641 (Mon-Fri, 9.30am to 5.00pm).

Q. What is the access number to use SimplyText2Talk calling credit from another landline or mobile phone?

A. Call 037 0041 4404 , then enter your PIN followed by your International destination number, followed by # for faster connection.

Q. What happens when my SimplyText2Talk calling credit is running low when I am using the PIN from another phone?

A. Your main mobile account, which you first used to top-up with us, will be automatically be credited by £5. You will receive a SMS notification on the main mobile account informing you of the charge/credit.

Q. Can I call mobile phones in another country?

A. Yes. You can use your SimplyText2Talk account to make low-cost International calls to landlines and mobiles in any country. Dial the access number 037 0041 4404 followed by your full International destination number. Please check rates on our website.

Q. I am having problems calling certain destination numbers. Whom should I contact?

A. Please call our customer services on 020 8497 8641 Monday - Friday from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm or by email: info@simplyfone.com.

Q. I've been charged the full International rate on my mobile providers' bill not the low SimplyText2Talk rate. What can I do?

If you have been charged the full International rate and your International calls are showing on your mobile bill, it means that your calls are being routed via your mobile operator and not via us. This could only happen if you have mistakenly pressed the green button (or the 'dial' button) again after entering your International number. If you press the green (or dial) button twice (i.e. once after our access number and again after the international number), your mobile will disconnect you from your initial call to our 03xx access number and connect you directly abroad via your mobile network. Please remember not to press 'call' or 'send' after the International number.

Q. What is automatic top-up?

A. SimplyText2Talk automatic top-up allows you to update your credit automatically when your credit runs low. You will hear a warning message 30 seconds before the automatic top-up takes place. You can either hang up & top-up your account manually or continue talking on the phone. If you continue talking on the line when your credit is low, your mobile will be automatically charged £5. At the same time your SimplyText2Talk account will be credited with £5. You will receive a text message confirming your mobile has been credited.

Q. I have not received any confirmation text message. Was my mobile charged?

A. No. The confirmation text message is proof that you have been charged. If you have not received this message we were not able to charge you. This could mean that you do have insufficient credit on your mobile or there are network delays. If you have any questions please call our customer services on 020 8497 8641 Monday - Friday from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Q. I have attempted to top-up my SimplyText2Talk mobile account several times but have been unsuccessful. What should I do?

A. If you are sending the word SIMPLY to 81616 please check that you sent the correct keyword to the correct number. You should also make sure that your mobile phone SMS inbox has not exceeded its limit. Otherwise, try switching off and then switching on your handset and send the message again. You should also avoid pressing 1 too many times as it may confuse the system. If you are a PAYG user you will need to have a minimum of £5.20 on your mobile account. If you are still unsuccessful, please contact your mobile network operator as your phone may be locked from access to Premium Rate SMS. If you have any questions please call our customer services on 020 8497 8641 Monday - Friday from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Q. I have unsuccessfully attempted to top-up my SimplyText2Talk mobile account several times but I would really like to be charged only once.

A. Please do not PRESS 1 more than once or send a text message SIMPLY to 81616 more than once every three hours. Top-up requests and text messages older than 4 hours will not be charged. Your mobile can be charged only twice per day.

Q. I blocked my account by sending STOP. What should I do now?

A. If you send a text message with the keyword AUTOOFF or STOP to 81616, you are placed on a black list. You will not be able to automatically top-up your International call account or receive any updates/messages from us but you can use all of your remaining credit. To gain access to our automatic top-up services and to receive updates from us, please text the keyword START to 81616. To top-up your International call account manually, PRESS 1 after calling our access number or send a text request to us with keyword to 81616. You will receive a confirmation message of your request to top-up.

Q. I have stopped my automatic top-up by sending AUTOOFF to 81616. I would now like to reactivate my automatic top-up. What should I do?

A. You can reactivate automatic top-up by texting AUTOON to 81616. You can deactivate automatic top-up later on by texting AUTOOFF to 81616.

A. Always ask bill payer's permission. Cost per SMS are as stated on our website plus standard SMS rate or may be used as part of your bundled SMS - except T-Mobile who may charge more. All prices are per minute & are fully inclusive of vat. Calls to the 01 or 02 access number cost the mobile standard rate to a landline or may be used as part of inclusive minute packages. Please check with your network operator. Connection fees, depending on destination, vary between 2.5p to 15p. To avoid automatic top-up, please hang up within 30 seconds of the warning. To stop ongoing automatic top-ups, text AUTOOFF to 81616 (standard SMS rate). Credit may expire if there are no top-ups or any usage within the first six months of top-up.
