Can anyone help?
We know that the English language has evolved and we all know that 'QU' make a 'KW' sound and 'Q' makes a 'K' sound & I know too that 'U' & 'W' are fairly similar letters, but can anyone help me…?
Why do we follow the 'Q' with a 'U'?
What possible reason could there have been?
(other than the very British ideal of confusing foreigners)
