Are you appreciated at work?

(A comment I posted on a private business group regarding possibly unappreciated work...)

Your sentiments are prevalent in most commercial and business environments, and ubiquitous to all walks of life.

Who amongst us cannot share a situation wherein we’ve worked overtime to help someone, when we’ve gone ‘the extra mile’ - often without recompense - to do a ‘better task/job/effort’, and without recognition, without even a token thank you, and without acceptance.

Such is life, and I’m sure most amongst us are also guilty of same…but hey, if you’ve enjoyed (at least at times) the performance, if you feel a modicum of job-satisfaction, if you feel sufficiently remunerated & it helps pay the bills, perhaps, just perhaps, it makes it all just a touch rewarding…
